“Viva la France” is a French comedy film directed by Michaël Youn. It tells the story of two bumbling terrorists who accidentally steal a suitcase holding radioactive material. As they try to deliver it to their contact across the French border, they encounter hilarious situations, including encounters with the police and unexpected allies. Along the way, they realize that the world of terrorism is not as glamorous as they had imagined.

The most complimentary and enthusiastic review said: “recommend very entertaining… the film was fun”. That’s funny! The others didn’t like it too much. Mickaël Youn, true to form. José Garcia, pretty good at what he does. Isabelle Funaro: nothing special! A film that two or three people had recommended to me. But the only really funny things in this film are the things they told me. So… not one of the funniest French films I’ve ever seen. The more it progresses, the heavier it gets, the less funny it is. It’s really not essential, or even important.

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️
