Honestly, 400 days directed by Matt Osterman, is a very interesting sci-fi space thriller. I admit, at first this film made me wait impatiently for something to happen. But just when I thought the story would come to a screeching halt ….that’s when the action begins.

A film that displays the unexpected dangers befalling a group of astronauts during a long-term, 400 day simulated space mission. I found the concept very intriguing, but not that original. The plot is reminiscent of “Capricorn One”.

This film has a stellar cast. Caity Lotz, an actress mainly from “The Legends of Tomorrow” series, whom I discovered in “The Pact” (2012), is a credible, convincing actress. I’m still not a huge fan of hers, but I fully appreciate her efforts. Ben Feldman has the kind of face I adore and am sure I’ve seen before. But I can’t remember where. Brandon Routh, an actor known for “Superman Returns”(2006) opposite the legendary Kevin Spacey, still had that “Superman face” in this movie (he was clearly made to play the Kryptonian).

Dane Cook is the first insufferable guy in the film. He becomes considerably less unbearable when Tom Cavanagh appears as an even worse character.  I remember Tom as “Reverse Flash” in “The Flash” series. He was always very good at his roles.

400 days made for riveting viewing, but I had the feeling that the story was not completely finished and left me with many questions. Like what happened to some of the missing characters? But at least these plot holes will make for interesting debates between friends! My rating ⭐⭐⭐
