It Boy (2013) is a French comedy romance. Very nice ! Someone once said to me, “I’m completely smitten with Virginie, so it’s hard to be neutral…
But if I take her out of the equation and put Brigitte Fontaine in her place, well, the film really isn’t that great…”

I know what he meant, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s Virginie Efira AND Pierre Niney who make the film so strong. This kind of story is always fun, and for me, who’s not really into French films, I had a pretty good time. And once I fell back into it, I rewatched the second half with delight. A pleasant and touching comedy.
