The Courier (2011) Not much to say about this film. Except that I was relatively disappointed. I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It’s always a pleasure to see him in his rather different roles, whether he’s obnoxious or heroic. But this isn’t one of his best films. The beginning is great, though. But the further you go, the deeper it sinks. Many people consider Til Schweiger to be a bad actor. I don’t really know him. There’s nothing incredible about him here, but that’s not a problem for his role. He looks like an emotionless Russian criminal. I read somewhere that he “should stick to romantic comedies”! I also read that he’s hard to understand when he speaks and that “at least Til has been dubbed, now men and women understand every word. That’s why we have to keep going.” Good casting, insignificant choice of music (not used as an extra suspenseful moment), boring camera movements….In short!T he story of a transporter? Really? Unfortunately, not as good a thriller as advertised. More like a tragedy in the truest sense of the word. The “romantic part” is almost unbearable. The tears could flow freely in despair. But I really wouldn’t recommend this film. It’s a shame, I really expected better. Even Mickey Rourke is absolutely inferior. Huge disappointment.
