The Night Flier (1997) Directed by Mark Pavia. The Night Flyer is a story about a reporter on the trail of a blood sucking murderer who travels by airplane. Another successful adaptation of a Stephen King story. I’d read the book (the novella, in fact) a few years ago, but I’m ashamed to say that I almost preferred the film this time round. The creature is quite scary and quite well done. Well… it’s played by a man! But the make-up is fabulous. Very good suspense, good actors (even if they play obnoxious characters!).It seems to me that Miguel Ferrer, who plays Richard Dees, very often plays detestable roles. As for Julie Entwisle, who plays Katherine Blair, I don’t think I know her. I wonder if this isn’t the greatest role she’s ever had. What a shame! An actress who really reminded me of the lovely Phoebe Cates, best known for her roles in Gremlins 1 & 2. A very well directed film by Mark Pavia, who also directed Fender Bender (2016). I haven’t seen it yet, but something tells me it’s not extraordinary. We’ll have to wait and see!
