Caroline Rose – Superstar (2020)An album that alternates between Indie Pop, pure Alternative and Indie Rock. Caroline Rose, an incredible, talented artist with an admirable voice and energy, has created an absolutely magnificent album here. She proves that there’s good music to be had in Austin, Texas. I wanted to discover this Grammy-nominated American singer-songwriter, musician and producer.

She intrigued me. So I thought I’d give this album a whirl. I discovered 11 songs in 38 minutes. And it’s amazing how short it felt! I would have loved it to have lasted. A deluxe edition wouldn’t go amiss, nor would it be too much. I told myself that I was clearly going to listen to the album before and the one after. But here I am, amused to discover, to my astonishment, that Caroline Elizabeth Rose, born on October 19, 1989, after releasing two albums of folk and country-inspired music, has released this album (obviously classified with too much lazy ease in “pop-rock”) Loner, in 2018.Yes, because country is not my cup of tea. But maybe she’ll make me appreciate this style, who knows?
