Weyes Blood – Titanic Rising (2019)Not much to say, except that this is quite simply a majestic album! Grandiose, enchanting, magical… all of these great words fit her perfectly. This extraordinary artist has nothing to envy the greats, hard as that may be for some to believe. She can, without further ado, join the likes of Kate Bush, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Bat for Lashes, Florence & the Machine, Poesy, The Anchoress and Marina (& the Diamonds). Her music is a blend of soft rock, psychedelic folk, chamber music, pop and experimental rock. She is an author, composer, performer and musician. And what a musician she is! She plays guitar, bass, keyboards… and, of course, she sings! A true Star in my heart, from now on. And I think it’s criminal that she’s not better known or recognized. What’s her name? I’m talking, of course, about Natalie Mering, born June 11, 1988, known professionally as Weyes Blood, which can be seen as her stage name, project name and/or band name. Titanic Rising is her fourth album.To date, she has released 5 of them. I’m looking forward to listening to them too… 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
