Emlyn – That’s how you make a villain – chapter 1 (2023) This time, I didn’t really vibrate.
I can’t say she’s a bad artist. She sure can sing, and you can feel it on “10 20 30”. It’s just that… so far, she hasn’t moved me incredibly.

Her song “Hotter than me” is very nice… but it’s not worth much compared to a Dua Lipa’s “Hotter than Hell”! I know I’m being harsh, but there’s nothing this singer has done that a certain Ava Max hasn’t already done better.

But apparently she knows all about it, since in her song “Badder” she says that “everything you do, I can do worse after singing “just when you think it can’t get any worse”. Lucid or maybe she doesn’t lack a sense of humor, which is a good thing.

This is the first chapter. Hopefully there won’t be too many, especially if it gets worse and worse.
That said, I really appreciate the title of this album (or EP, rather, since it’s an 8-track album lasting 20 minutes).

The eighth and last one is just called “to be continued…” which clearly announces a sequel. And I think that’s independent of the success of these songs.

I’m going to go back in time and listen to the earlier songs she created. I have a feeling that, despite everything I’ve said, I’m going to unearth a few gems.

C’est sûr qu’elle sait chanter et on le sent notamment bien sur «10 20 30». C’est juste que… pour l’instant, elle ne m’a pas incroyablement touché. Sa chanson «Hotter than me» est très chouette… mais elle ne vaut pas grand-chose par rapport à un «Hotter than Hell» d’une Dua Lipa ! Je sais que je suis dur, mais il n’ a rien que cette chanteuse n’ait fait qu’une certaine Ava Max n’ait déjà fait en mieux.Mais apparemment, elle en sait quelque chose, puisque dans sa chanson “Badder”, elle dit que “tout ce que tu fais, je peux le faire en pire” après avoir chanté “juste quand tu penses que ça ne peut pas être pire”. Lucide ou peut-être ne manque-t-elle pas d’humour, ce qui est une bonne chose.Ceci est le premier chapitre. Espérons qu’il n’y en aura pas trop, surtout si ça devient de pire en pire. Ceci dit, j’apprécie fortement le titre de cet album (ou EP, plutôt vu que c’est un 8 titre qui dure 20 minutes.)La huitième et dernière s’appelle juste «to be continued…» qui annonce une clairement suite. Et je pense que c’est indépendant du succès qu’auront ces chansons-ci. Je vais remonter le temps et écouter les chansons antérieurs qu’elle a créé. Je sens que je vais, malgré tout ce que j’ai dit, dénicher quelques perles.
