Mr Little Jeans – Better Days (2022) I think that, like their album nine years ago (Pocketknife), this album is a gem.Mr Little Jeans is a band led by a singer with a sensual voice to match. The arrangements, their music in general, the beauty, the purity, the power of their lyrics. I’m ecstatic.I’m listening to this album again right now. It’s one of those albums that I find hard to put down. If I were in a car, I’d take all the long routes and avoid all the shortcuts so that I could listen to it for as long as possible. This ‘Better Days’ album has some incredible tracks like ‘Better with You’. It’s often soaring, always quite classy and creative. I’d have liked to say sometimes funny, but that’s not the case. You don’t need to laugh when you listen to this kind of band! The album ends in style with what seems the most appropriate and obvious of hits: Jump to fall. And I discover that it is indeed the first hit of this album. But it doesn’t seem to have the success it deserves. I get the impression that fans are stuck on Pocketknife. And yet, if they’d discovered this CD last, they’d be just as hooked on it.
