Choking Victim – No Gods / No Managers (1999) Ahhhh!This is the kind of band I don’t like! I say that with pride for those who think I love absolutely everything and never think. Good energy indeed! Great bass with a great sound. You could say they’re good musicians… yes… But for me, it stops there! The lyrics are pretty nasty, hateful. The messages aren’t meaningless, but they’re badly expressed. I can’t stand the voice. This kind of unsubtle punk (yes, it sounds contradictory… and yet!) doesn’t appeal to me. The humor is greasy and doesn’t make me laugh at all. Punk and ska played ultra-fast… as if you had to win a marathon, a speed contest, as if music was just an inimitable performance. It’s brutal and will motivate those who hate everything in their lives… to simply drink more, vomit more and swear more. 🌟
