Leftover Crack – Mediocre Generica (2001) Exactly the same kind of band as Choking Victim, relatively the same kind of album as No Gods / No Managers (1999) Not really my cup of tea. Even a complete song is hard for me to listen to. So sacrificing myself by listening to the whole record is a real ordeal for me. A real torture. It’s fat, it’s brutal, it’s angry, it’s a little funny at times… but too little, alas. Another album for those who only think about fucking, drinking, eating, doing drugs, smoking, partying and pretending to be rebels, but who couldn’t do much without Mum and Dad. Apparently, these groups are inspired by Operation Ivy, according to this comment: “How sad to see bad imitators of Operation Ivy so successful. Where do the young people go??? I’ll have to find out more about Operation Ivy… but chances are it’s also a band I won’t like. 🌟
