Locked In (2023) Synopsis: A nurse becomes obsessed with finding out what happened to a coma patient. I thought it was going to be a pretty complicated story, hard to understand. But in fact… it’s just a very twisted story! A story of deception, manipulation, betrayal… in short! I spent an enormous amount of time on this film. Yes, sometimes I do! There were scenes I watched several times. I wondered if the director had put in some very subtle details or if he’d just failed miserably. My answer is going to be terrible! In fact, right from the intro, when you see Netflix’s N, you already know it’s a goner!!!!The film can’t be excellent, let alone a masterpiece. That N alone already takes away one star. The plot is nice, even if there are a few implausibility. The cast is top-notch, and all the actors are very good. But, yes, there are some implausibility that can spoil the fun, and some things that aren’t very clear if you don’t dwell on them. On the whole, I had a pretty good time, but it won’t necessarily stay engraved in my memory, probably because I wasn’t overly surprised by the various twists and turns, and the ending is a little abrupt. When there are a lot of sex scenes in a film, it usually doesn’t bode well for the protagonists. It’s as if you want to make the viewer feel uncomfortable, then do them some justice. Or maybe it’s to excite the viewer and then disappoint them. It’s just an observation. Personally, the first is beautiful, the second artistic, but after that… it becomes highly wearisome. Those who watch the film solely for that won’t find it to their liking, and those who can’t stand those scenes will quickly give up. Famke Janssen is the best-known actress in this film, it seems to me. Despite the fact that she often plays with her beauty, here we have the honor of seeing her deformed, with make-up that shows her after a violent car accident. It’s worth a look, and quite impressive. Not one of the best Netflix movies, but not one of the worst either.
