Wonder Woman 1984 – Wonder Woman 2 (2020) Synopsis: Diana must contend with a work colleague, and with a businessman whose desire for extreme wealth sends the world down a path of destruction, after an ancient artifact that grants wishes goes missing.

Unlike a lot of people, I already didn’t love the first one! Excellent little nod to Lynda Carter at the end… especially given that she didn’t endorse the new costume in the first place. She’ll always be the only Wonder Woman in the hearts of fans of series like the Hulk or Drôle de Dames from the 70s.Once again, I had a moment crammed with totally over-exaggerated and cheesy special effects. I thought, “Okay, this is set in 1984. Have they tried to be faithful to the special effects of the time?” But even as I thought this, it seemed ridiculous. We finally see Cheetah on screen… but of course… I’m really not convinced by this actress, once again. But anyway! I had a good time, nice entertainment… but I’m aware that it’s not great cinema. Most of the characters are rather annoying, which makes it difficult to watch. When the villains have no charisma, it can’t be taken seriously. Even Wonder Woman doesn’t seem as pure as she should be. But we sense that’s because of the loss of her loved one. What would we do to have wishes? And don’t we sometimes have to give up our vows, if it means selling our soul to the devil?
