Black Water Vampire (2014) I watched this film in fast-forward. It was enough to grasp the film’s interests. I haven’t been able to stand Found Footage for a very long time. So it’s a shame, but even though there are some good ones out there, they missed the mark with me. So…Basically: you can’t see a film like this without thinking of “The Blair Witch Project”, because that first film of the genre made such an impression. Yet some people have gone so far as to say that this film is better. And it probably is… but it wouldn’t have been made without Blair Witch. I’d recommend this film to people who like horror and camera-holding for more than an hour. An hour and twenty-two minutes to be precise, including the credits.

The story, however, is pretty good.If it’s told as a story, it’s an interesting one, and if it were done as a normal film, it would have been better too. Except for those who are new to this kind of feature film. I also thought of “Rosemary’s Baby” for reasons I can’t divulge without spoiling. As for the monster, it looks like Nosferatu… and it’s creepy. A man is accused of killing women. He goes to prison. And a team decides to investigate, all the while convinced that the alleged culprit is innocent.

The moment when we see this actor for about 5 minutes is one of the best. The actor’s performance is quite exceptional. His name is Bill Oberst Jr. if ever. A Horror/Documentary worth discovering, from which the protagonists will obviously not emerge unscathed. The viewer a little more so… but will have been entertained.
