Okay!
Why this film?
This time I wanted to see a film with Rose Leslie, because I was frustrated not to see more of her in Death on the Nile (2022). Plus, she was an actress I liked in Game Of Thrones, even though I eventually gave up on that series and I don’t care if it’s blasphemy to all those who loved it. Did they love it to the end?
Really???
Rose Leslie reminds me of someone I really liked in the 90s.
In fact, she really reminds me of Courtney Thorne-Smith. Yes, yes, the famous Alison Parker in the series Melrose Place.
Interesting concept, but botched. Potential completely wasted.
A typical film of our time, with an interesting first half-hour, a slightly less good second and a disgusting, catastrophic, dramatic but pointless finale.
Even if the beginning is catchy, there’s still too much kissing and sex.
It’s probably not the favourite film of Rose’s husband Kit Harington, the famous Jon Snow, also in the Game of Thrones series.
In short!
It’s slow, it goes in circles, it’s very repetitive, it’s slimy, it’s bleeding, it’s sometimes badly acted.
It’s even badly directed at times, and you sometimes wonder how directors can be satisfied with their work once it’s finished.
