Jessie Ware – That! Feels Good! (April 2023)Who would you compare Jessie Ware to? What comes spontaneously to mind is a sort of Caro Emerald doing Sophie Ellis-Bextor. And honestly, I love all three of them! Jessie is the sister of the lovely English actress and model Hannah Ware. Her musical style is mostly Electronic Music, R&B, but for me she also brought Disco back, hence my comparison with Sophie. Her influences are very good, including some of the best such as Kate Bush, Sade, Annie Lennox, Diana Ross and Madonna.

According to Wikipedia: “In February 2021, on the heels of the release of her new album What’s Your Pleasure? the artist released the video for her new song Remember Where You Are, whose heroine, wandering through a London deserted by the Covid-19 crisis, is actress Gemma Arterton, who shares common traits with Jessie Ware.”A Feel Good album!

Yes, it really does live up to its name, and it’s great if you feel like dancing, decompressing, letting off steam and going nuts for a little while or for a whole evening. Ideal for jogging, fitness, getting up in the morning. It’s not a record that’s going to make you feel any worse, or bring you down to your lowest ebb, or plunge you back into your depression… Unless, of course, you only listen to ultra-complicated Jazz or hyper-dark Heavy Metal. It’s Funky, it’s Groovy, it’s Happy and it’s Classy, even Sensual & Soaring, at times! The world would be so empty without this kind of music.
