Flashback – Short film (Horror), 2023 Watch it on Netflix so there you have it: this is the first time I’ve reviewed a short film. Yet I’ve seen a ton of them. I must have watched a good thirty on the Omeleto channel on Youtube alone.

But if I really had to write about everything I see, read or hear, I’d never get away with it. But let’s go for this one! Oh dear, dear !Netflix! As I often say: as soon as I see that name, I know I’m not in for a masterpiece. A story classified under Horror-Scary, but one that will make real fans of the genre laugh. For me, it’s a mini sci-fi thriller.

The total length is about sixteen minutes… but in reality, it’s only eleven minutes long, as we’re treated to credit-laden credits for over five minutes. It’s amazing how many people can forget about something that’s quickly seen and quickly forgotten.

A trio of more or less charismatic actors: Haley Bishop, Amar Chadha-Patel, Maya Graham. It’s especially Amar, the Indian man, who’s mesmerizing, unlike Avan Jogia (seen in The Stranger), who’s more of an irritating actor from the little I’ve seen of him.

The story is nice, but far-fetched. In terms of realism, it’s close to zero, if not already in the negative. From a poetic point of view, it’s romantic and rather pretty, if a little sad. It’s up to you to decide whether or not you’re interested!
