Sewer Rats – Wild At Heart (2011) I had already reviewed their album “Heartbreaks & Milkshakes”. I like it, but I don’t love it. It’s nice, but it’s not incredible. It’s not bad at all for discovering a bit of Rockabilly. And even if a baby or child hears this band and gets his Rock education from it, I have absolutely nothing against it.
On the other hand, let’s face it, for those who know this band’s influences, there’s nothing really new under the sun. Indeed, for those who know nothing but the Clash and the Stays Cats already, not to mention the Who, there’s nothing new here in terms of energy, lyrics or anything else.
The Sewer Rats are a German punk rock band formed by Chris Gin and Puck Lensing in Cologne in 2005. Their previous band was the punk rock outfit Subway Sewer Rats. A good album to get you going, to wake you up in the morning, to get through traffic jams in the car, to do household chores. On the other hand, it won’t be the record we’ll be debating at parties for hours on end to underline its genius.
