Batman & Harley Quinn (2017) (Film Review)

Batman & Harley Quinn (2017) Another successful animated film from Sam Liu!

Harley Quinn is not necessarily one of my favorite characters… but here, she is just great! She has decided to settle down and stop the crime for a while. So she teams up with Nightwing (whom she even manages to seduce!) & Batman! She turns against Poison Ivy who wants to turn the whole planet into a plant. So much for the characters.

Here, no Joker, no Robin, nor even Alfred!  On the other hand, there are winks to “Pif, Paf, Boom !” during the fights in homage to the series. 

Harley Quinn is quite gaseous and farts several times during the movie. And there’s even a moment where she does karaoke and manages to get Batman to tap the beat on a table, before Nightwing notices… and starts dancing! Anyway!

There’s a lot of fun, good dialogue, very good humour. The action scenes are violent, but not too brutal. There are deaths among soldiers and scientists, which makes the story even more realistic.
