The Darwin Awards (2006) is a dark comedy film by Finn Taylor. Nice story, interesting subject, Ralph Fiennes in a role that suits him well, the cameos by other well-known actors and actresses are pleasant. However, the pace of the film is too slow and ultimately leads nowhere, as the subject is poorly exploited.

Admittedly, the moral of “You can’t save the world, so you have to let things happen” is pretty good. But I was expecting much better. And I feel a bit like I’ve been had. A nice little film that I’d only recommend to those who have no films left to see on their lists.
