The Amazing Spider-Man (2013) Spidey reboot

This Spidey reboot is rather pointless. They should have continued Spiderman’s story, including the lizard and his new girlfriend. After all, Gwen is Spiderman’s other love. In fact, she’s the only actress I can think of who fits in well with the character she plays. All the others are uncharismatic, even catastrophic. But then… maybe they wanted to exploit Spidey’s super-young side.

I could have forgiven her if the second one was a bit better…I’m not going to be able to completely write this off, as I’m an undisputed fan of this superhero in… almost all his forms!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

I watch an awful lot of movies, all the while knowing that I will regularly waste my time. I don’t know… it’s my passion for cinema. When it’s a passion, it’s often illogical, inexplicable, irrational. I’m an undisputed Spidey fan, I loved cartoons, comics and so on. But in film, I loved Sam Raimi’s movies with Tobey. There, I had fun, but Electro is so stupid and pathetic, even though I could force myself to understand these guys, like Cable Guy with Jim Carrey. They’re both electric guys who have no friends, who swear loyalty to their friends or revenge on those who have the misfortune to betray them or refuse their friendship. But there are limits. Once you’ve understood the character, there’s no need to insist.

Anyway, I don’t know if I find it better than the first one, as good or as bad. I really don’t know…And here’s a review from someone who wanted to show me their disagreement: “I’d say that you never waste your time watching a film, because even if it’s bad, you’ll get something out of it. In general, when you read or see another film about the same kind of story, you appreciate the new one much less. Anyway… I liked it a lot, I thought it was better than the first one. Great special effects, great acting and a great story. 🙂 “The funny thing is, I actually agree with him ;-D Especially today. I don’t waste my time, because writing these reviews is always a fascinating exercise.
