Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One (2024) is a very good animated film. You get to see the whole Justice League, all the DC heroes, even if some of them only say a sentence (like Aquaman) or only appear for a few seconds. Stana Katic is the only actress and double (Wonder Woman & Superwoman) in the film that I know in this cast, it seems to me.

This film is dedicated to the memory of George Pérez (1954-2022) who was a screenwriter. He was born on 9 June 1954 in the Bronx, New York, USA. He is known for Justice League: New Generation (2010), Batman’s Son (2014) and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three (2024). He was married to Carol Flynn. He died on 6 May 2022 in Florida, USA.

There’s so much going on here that I really can’t believe it only lasted an hour and a half. Flash, who is by far one of my favourite characters, carries the film here. He’s the main character, around whom everything revolves. And this cartoon does him proud. At last!
We see his funny, human, big-hearted protector side, as well as his love interest Iris West.

My one criticism of this film is that it’s hard to follow, because it goes off in all directions. You don’t always know whether you’re jumping through time, into the multiverse or somewhere else. That’s what I didn’t like about the Flash film either. But there are some really nice, interesting or touching moments.

Obviously, it doesn’t have a happy ending… but we knew that, as there’s a second part coming out soon. It must have already been released in the United States. I’m already looking forward to it.
