This is a feature film directed by Fatih Akin and the Franco-German co-production was inspired by the 2004 nail bomb attack in Cologne by the National Socialist Underground (NSU) terrorist cell. The focus is on a woman, played by Diane Kruger, who loses her German-Kurdish husband and son in a bomb attack. When the right-wing extremist perpetrators are acquitted by the court due to a lack of evidence, they seek out the perpetrators, who have since fled, in order to bring justice to the vigilantes.

A very fair film about Injustice! An unfortunate but realistic vision of revenge. A very good feature film. Diane Kruger, the lead actress, is by no means insignificant in all this: she’s undeniably an incredible actress! In fact, she won the Best Actress award, and deservedly so. The film is somewhere between melodrama, legal drama and revenge thriller.
