The Room (2019) (Film Review)

The Room (2019) Well, the further the film went, the more disappointed I was! It’s crazy! Some people loved this movie. But… you never know whether they are being sincere or ironic when they compliment strange films.

The idea is good, the dialogues are nice, and we want to follow this couple in their delirium…There’s a certain originality to it, even though films about the desire and possibility of having lots of money are becoming increasingly common.I thought back to Un Plan Simple, The Box and so on.

I felt the same stress as in Vivarium. Featuring another unhealthy kid! The length and exaggeration took the edge off my enjoyment.

I liked the lead actor, but Olga Kurylenko is not an actress I adore.I’m glad I saw it, but it’s a good film, far from very good, and it loses its way… when it could have been one of the films of the century.
