Let It Snow (2020) Also known as Danger Zone in France and Switzerland. Why is this film so bad? Couldn’t they have made an effort? Seriously? A very American film… but made by Russians! Or at least from Eastern Europe. It’s impossible to understand! We criticize the American films, but we can’t deny that they make the best films. Why else are we always trying to imitate them? And it’s clear that they don’t make easy films, otherwise anyone would be able to do it.
No, really, this film is crap. It kept me on the edge of my seat for quite a while… but the last 20 minutes got the better of me.And from the end on, it just gets worse and worse, including the scenes after the credits start rolling. It’s a Survival with magnificent scenery, but no real tension and no action. Unrealistic, a little ridiculous. As for the identity of the killer and his identity, it’s totally pathetic and laughable, even though the subject is dramatic.
There’s a lot to miss in this film. And its suspense is by no means incredible. At least it didn’t descend into the paranormal. Ivanna Sakhno reminded me of Chloë Grace Moretz and Alex Hafner, who we don’t really see much of, reminded me of Owen Wilson.
That’s all there is to it! There are so many better movies set in the snow that you can easily avoid this one. Otherwise… Bon Courage (Good Luck)!!!PS : Oh ! In fact, it was shot in the Georgian mountains of Gudauri in winter 2019.And it’s an Ukrainian-Georgian movie.
