Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024) I’m not a mega-fan of Planet of the Apes, never have been. Not even of the original. But hey:The show is good, and so are the special effects. The sad scenes are dramatic as can be. The acting is decent, although the lead actress isn’t incredible, in my opinion. Freya Allan is also in the horror film Baghead, which I haven’t seen yet. I’ll see what she’s worth there.
On the other hand, it always gives me great pleasure to see William H. Macy again. The fight and action scenes, in general, are spectacular, though always exaggerated of course. The story isn’t incredible, but it’s worth watching. That’s it! Otherwise, I can’t judge too much, I’ve only seen Tim Burton’s films over the last 20 years and some people say it’s the worst, that it’s destroyed the spirit of the very first one. I’m not really expert enough to judge. But there’s always a chance that I’ll decide to see them all in succession to form a more solid opinion. Wes Ball had already directed the Maze Runner/Le Labyrinthe trilogy which, for me, is one of the best action, sci-fi and thriller trilogies involving teenagers. Yes, yes, just like Rafi, folks! Watch out, I’m going off air! 😉
