Guardians Of Time (2022) I have no idea why I watched this film. Probably because I was unlucky enough to stumble across it, especially as I’m not the biggest fan of fantasy films. It’s also an action-adventure film for children and I don’t think it was very successful. I’d even go so far as to say that it’s impossible for it to have been a success. So four children, teenagers arrive in a fantastic world as guardians of time and meet creatures from this magical world. It’s similar to Narnia, except that it’s not very well done, unfortunately. So it’s not incredibly well made, on the contrary, there are some false connections, some errors of direction… but it’s the innocent side that made me happy and even good. It’s a nice change from all the harmful and unhealthy films I’ve ingested that have rotted my brain.

Synopsis: “One day, in the family manor, four cousins discover a passage leading to a mysterious world. Trapped in the Kingdom of Keoherus, they must confront the Keeper of Time, fight supernatural forces and dangerous beasts before they can hope to return home.”

The Guardians of Time are played by some very charming young actresses. They may seem quite insipid at first, but the more you see of them, the more you like them. On the other hand, they are extremely poorly directed (and that hurts your heart!) in a rather poorly made film, which has an interesting first half… but the second half is ridiculous, slow, not to mention the fact that the film doesn’t deliver on any of its promises. We don’t see anything we want to see, the chronology of events doesn’t make sense and even the action is sluggish.

Samantha Ryan is not to be confused with the pornographic actress of the same name. It’s bad enough that it’s a pain in the arse to find out anything about her. The very young Ava Torres has one of the most incredible smiles in the world! Let’s hope she has a great career and that this film doesn’t put an immediate end to it. The other pair of sisters, played by Carley Coleman and Nia Salaam, are fun enough… but it all falls apart in the end. None of the characters are developed enough. They try to surprise us with plot twists, but they come too late, when the viewer is already jaded. Only the youngest viewers will find this extraordinary magical world entertaining. And to think that the ending foreshadows a sequel!

We can be 99.99% sure that it will never see the light of day. Or sink into permanent darkness.
