WarpaintRadiate Like This (2022) Genre: Indie Rock/Post-Rock/Art Rock

Another band I’ve missed in concert! Damn it!!!

Someone once asked me if I’d ever seen a band only once in concert, because the was under the impression that I’d seen all my favorite bands at least twice.

If he only knew!

Oh my!

There are still so many I’d like to have seen.

Fortunately, it’s not too late for some of them.

Anyway!

The fact is that this album, which is Warpaint‘s last for the moment, is absolutely magical!

The song titles, the lyrics, the ultra-sensual voice of the lead singer, the backing vocals of the other members. And that’s just for starters: the melodies, the creativity, the subtleties, the sensitivity of this album. All of which make this a magnificent album to be listened to at least ten times in one’s life.

This is not an album of raw rock power. It’s a delight of incredible, soaring arrangements perfectly handled by these four chicks who have little to envy their idols in terms of mastery of their instruments.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
