Doctor Strange (1978)

Doctor Strange (1978) also known as Dr. Strange. Well, I can’t give this film more than two stars. I had a pleasant time. The lead actor and the others are OK.

But it’s got really old… and apparently, even at the time, it wasn’t as successful as I’d hoped. Indeed, it was supposed to be the start of a new series, but it never saw the light of day.

It has to be said that it would have been hard to imagine a series based on this TV film alongside the excellent Charlie’s Angels, The Hulk, Wonder Woman, The Six Million Dollar Man (The Man Who Made Billions) and its cousin Super Jamie.

A TV film that won’t please many people today either.

No… still not!

But it’s great to have already tried to put this superhero on TV, even so early on, even back then. The costume and the actor were good, though.

But today, I can’t imagine anyone better than the fabulous Benedict Cumberbatch to play the role!
