Batman : Soul of the Dragon (2021)

Batman : Soul of the Dragon (2021) is classy and brutal, but good enough. In this animated feature directed by Sam Liu, who for me has done some very good and some not so good, no Justice League!

Here, Batman (who we see much more as Bruce Wayne this time!) is accompanied by his former martial arts comrades. And they are the ones who counter the big bads. Yes, because they themselves are not very clean!

A good time, some length, especially in the jumps in the past which, for me, are necessary to understand the story, but irremediably cut the rhythm.

Dangerous creatures, mostly reptilians, snake men, are part of the story apart from the other gangsters with swords or all knowing how to fight.

A very different Batman than most.

No Nightwing, no Robin, no Catwoman, no Alfred. It’s a bit of a change and it feels good, even though I love, if not prefer, Batmans where everyone appears!

But a good time and I didn’t ask for more. The ending is good.

I came out of it relatively satisfied.
