Mother’s Day (2010) Almost a masterpiece of nullity!!! Almost bad enough to be a masterpiece of crap!!! I was expecting an ultra violent film, but what I got was an ultra rubbish one. Just because it’s not ultra violent (well… compared to other ultra violent films) doesn’t mean it’s not good.

It’s a home invasion that was on a list of 5 must-see films in this sub-genre. I’ve seen 4 of them and all 4 aren’t among my favourites. As a result, I’m likely to skip the 5th. I don’t even want to dwell on this review, that’s for sure!

It’s always the same thing: The phones are blocked or have been confiscated,The characters are either uncharismatic or very unsympathetic, the cop always comes alone… as if he wanted to die quickly, people who are supposed to have been dead for a long time suddenly start breathing again as if by chance, hostages who do something serious don’t get killed, but those who do something a bit less serious are quickly killed, sadistic scenes to show the worst of human nature,a deranged family robbing together…

In short! It all sounds very appetising! You’d think it was a good advert and that my trailer would make you want to go and see this piece of shit… but…

And yet! Last year, I came to the conclusion that superhero films could never be good films! That was underestimating the awfulness of horror films in general! Waste of time, waste of energy, debauchery of unhealthy images and all for what in the end? To make you feel alive because it’s fashionable to feel bad and depressed? Not for me, then! Have fun without me next time!
