Storm Warning (2007) Also known as Insane.

Dirty, ugly, disgusting film, with ugly color, rotten criminals (in every sense of the word!), greasy, heavy, unhealthy, unsubtle, gory, vicious, and pointless.

The actress is really bad. No, Nadia Farès is not a name to remember! The actors aren’t much better!

Another Australian horror film that’s good for flushing down the toilet, not forgetting to flush a few times. It’s even worse than Wolf Creek!

It’s got a similar atmosphere to all those “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” crap. Don’t waste 1 hour 20 minutes of your precious time!

This film sucks from A to Z. The actors are very bad, the soundtrack is badly placed, the direction is out of focus, and the story is banal. It’s full of inconsistencies. There are a few interesting moments, but they’re poorly exploited.

Even this director’s other films are better.

For example, Long Weekend (2008) is very good and even better than the original. A remake that worked.

Valentine (2001) isn’t one of the best films in the genre… but it’s by no means the worst, either!

On the other hand, Urban Legend (1998) is one of the best of the genre. It’s right up there with the first Scream (1996) and the first I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997).

Jamie Blanks is capable of many things, but this director’s other films are far more worthwhile. One might wonder if his films had too much subtlety and so he decided to make one completely devoid of thought? If that was his aim, then he’s succeeded. But it’s also a great shame!

Even the originality takes a hit, for the umpteenth time!
Yes, we’ve seen it all before, and better. Besides, why is it always so dark?

The film wants to present itself as a terror film, but it’s far from it. It’s not scary; it’s disgusting. The very gory scenes towards the end of the film don’t help either. It simply starts off far too sluggishly on their excursion, and the film only gets off to a very slow start. And Grandpa and his two boys just want to look tough, but they just bark and don’t bite. That said, I don’t think the revenge is overdone because these kinds of criminals deserve no quarter!

Timber Falls was a better film in its genre, although it was already super disturbing. But it was a good film in the end, especially compared to this one.

Rating: 0.5 out of 5.
