The Possession of Hannah Grace (2018) I like exorcism films and this one did not disappoint me! It’s very similar in atmosphere and suspense to “The Autopsy of Jane Doe.” Both of these films really freaked me out and I had to turn on the lights when the film was over. I could see that girl’s face everywhere!

As far as the lead actress is concerned, this time we are dealing with a young woman who has suffered a trauma and has become quite strong, without really knowing it for the whole of the first part. She’s not a bimbo with big boobs, a tank top showing her belly button, or her long legs. This girl is rather classy and quite masculine. That doesn’t prevent her from having this incredible charm that actresses like Paz de la Huerta (who on top of that plays in lame movies like “Enter the Void” or “The Nurse”) have absolutely no.

Anyway, good suspense and a good story. The thing that prevents it from being a masterpiece are the numerous inconsistencies and the really overdone side of some scenes, but it still creates a lot of thrills. A very good film. Icing on the cake: a small role for the formidable Stana Katic, whom I adored in particular in the series Castle.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
