Sex Tape (2014) And here I am again to contradict all those who hated this film! But not on purpose, eh? So, let me correct what I’ve read: this film has no innovation and isn’t even funny if you watch all films of this style, admittedly. But if you never watch them, at least watch this one!

Cameron Diaz is still great in this kind of role. I’m not a huge fan of hers, but I admit she can be a real treat. It wouldn’t have been the same without her in The Mask (1994), A Life Less Ordinary (1997), There’s Something About Mary (1998), Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her (2000), Charlie’s Angels (2000) & Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003), Vanilla Sky (2001), The Box (2009), and it’s even a pleasure to see her in Very Bad Things (1998) or The Green Hornet (2010)!

Jack Black is also in this film, if ever! He and Cameron were already together in that little masterpiece The Holiday (2006). Well… I think I like Diaz a lot more than I thought I would after re-reading my list of films in this review!!!

And as for Jason Segel: this guy is fabulous! Unfortunately, too often associated with teen movies, he proved quite a talent in The End of the Tour (2015) as writer David Foster Wallace. A role that suits him perfectly! Here, he’s good fun, too. And this film is still much better than the likes of Love & Other Drugs (2010), No Strings Attached (2011), or Friends with Benefits (2011). In my humble opinion, of course! If ever, Love & Other Drugs (2010) is the film with

I think this film is really cool, even though I didn’t really want to see it. The sex is uninhibited and unrestrained in the dialogue for a funny comedy with good gags. I had a really good, relaxing time and a lot of fun. And I don’t really understand all the bad reviews: it’s not a dreck at all, it’s a very nice, funny, and well-made film. It’s just a shame that it doesn’t have even more punch, which could have made it an excellent, almost perfect film. The fact that anyone can film their lovemaking and the fact that it may or may not end up on specialized websites is well seen and well felt.

It’s by no means a film that will go down in history, but it’s still enjoyable to watch. Most fans will smile more than laugh, but the situational comedy is well done. As for the slightly risqué scenes, I wouldn’t recommend this film to people who are embarrassed by sexuality, even if we don’t see anything. It’s not an erotic film! But these situations are rarely very delicate. However, you have to expect that when you go to see a film with a title like this.

Rating: 2 out of 5.
