The World’s End (2013) is a Science-Fiction Comedy directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of The Dead). This one is good. Yes, indeed! I love British humour, plus I was recommended this movie today. But this movie was far from perfect. Some fine reflections, some excellent moments (unlike Rafi, I liked the start), but too much is too much! It goes too far in all directions, too many peanuts.
The music is excellent and well-chosen, and the duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost always works like a charm… but this is really not their best work! There’s also the driving instructor from Happy-Go-Lucky (who’s an excellent actor in an excellent film). I loved Shaun of the Dead and liked Paul a lot. Haven’t seen Hot Fuzz yet, though… I’ll see it in the next few days.
