The Fourth Kind (2009) is a science fiction thriller starring Milla Jovovich.

Difficult to say! As for the main acting duo: Milla Jovovich is perfect, once again. For me, Elias Koteas has always been the kind of actor you see in lots of films without ever remembering or going to see the film just for him. But from now on, I think I’ll remember him. Good charisma, even if the role is quite small after all.

It’s a good idea to put real footage in this film to make it a sort of fictional documentary. But you end up losing the rhythm because of the mix of real images and actors, real and fake scenes. It’s more thought-provoking than scary. It’s not Paranormal Activity. If you’re expecting the same thrills and chills, you’ll have to pass!

PS: If the archive footage is really true, it’s a sobering experience…
