Bounty Killer (2013) is a violent action thriller. In terms of apocalyptic atmosphere, I definitely preferred the two Wyrmwood : Wyrmwood and Wyrmwood: Apocalypse! The former deserves three stars, but the latter, which is even better, deserves four. I thought this film was also Australian for a while.

Once again, I come up with my famous aversion to gore. The scene with an axe cutting a head in half and spurting blood on the person in front of it… is pretty unnecessary in my humble opinion. Otherwise… a good direction, nice actors.

Even if we feel that if Kristanna Loken appears in this kind of movie, it’s because she has hit the bottom. I don’t think she just wanted to have fun. I rather think that the time of Terminator 3 is far away and that she is probably afraid that we forget her.

Here, we discover another actress with perfect plastic: Christian Pitre! Who does absolutely nothing “Christian” in this movie!!! So, I said to myself: “Okay… in this role, she is clearly chosen only for her physique. So, does she have any acting talent or not ???” And what do I see? That she didn’t do much outside of this movie. In any case, nothing that has marked the minds, nor the cinema. The year before, 2011, she appeared in “Crazy, Stupid, Love” which is a comedy, not really funny, and that’s certainly what gave her this leading role in this movie.

As for Matthew Marsden, who is the handsome one of the film, he has a bit more experience. He is a producer, singer and former model! This Englishman was naturalized American in 2020, has played in many films, including Rambo, which is the sequel to Rambo 3 and therefore the fourth opus of the saga. Funny thing: Matt is really a practicing Roman Catholic! He also played with Milla Jovovic in Resident Evil: Extinction. Here, he plays the typical true hero, that is to say the one who is ready to save even some who want to kill him.

In short! This movie is useless in the big cinema. It serves as a good, sexy and quite brutal action entertainment. It is by far not for all audiences. No zombies or creatures here, only humans. Quickly seen, quite quickly forgotten.

Rating: 2 out of 5.
