Rainbow Time (2016)

A nice little film 

Linas Phillips plays relatively well.

I don’t think this actor is really a mentally retarded person 😉

In this film, he plays a rather sexually obsessed person, quite immature, but not always. And you don’t know where you stand with him. And he makes the most of these ambiguities. 

Timm Sharp as his brother, sometimes patient, sometimes not. 

Melanie Lynskey as his girlfriend, hyper benevolent, a little too much so at times, who’s discovering family and in-laws. And trying to understand and adapt.  

And finally, we have the pleasure of Tobin Bell as the father of the two brothers. A father who’s fed up with his son’s bullshit and still lives at home. 

I wanted to give this film two stars. 

But it’s a little more than just okay. 

It’s annoying and I wouldn’t want to see it too often. But it’s not badly made and would have deserved a little more attention, I think. It deals with an important subject in a way that’s not too bad.
