The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – The Beginning (2006)

A lot of gore for nothing!

Markus Nispel‘s remake was already beyond bad and embarrassing. ‘TCM the Beginning’ is equally unconvincing, in my opinion. The film offers nothing but gore. The actors are bad and the story is more than mediocre. Too bad, too bad…

And then I have my confirmation: when Jordana Brewster (however excellent) is in a film… it’s rarely good! The Faculty, perhaps, is an exception.

All the actors are decent… but, on the other hand, I can’t see any point to these films. They’re full of it, they’re all full of inconsistencies. It’s just disgusting for the sake of being disgusting. There’s not even any suspense, because the characters are pretty dumb and never do what they should.
I understand why they panic… but they lose all logic.

Very black humour, but it’s not even funny, really.
No hope at all. We’re getting used to it.

The sad beginnings… of a saga I didn’t like any of. But I gave them their chances.

Rating: 0.5 out of 5.
