The Stranger In My Home (2025)
The cast is very decent. Sophia Bush, Chris Carmack, Chris Johnson, and, above all, Amiah Miller fill their roles perfectly.
Film based on the book by Adele Parks, The Stranger in My Home (2016).
Sophia Bush plays the lead role. She is best known for the series about the Scott Brothers: One Tree Hill. I really liked her in The Hitcher (2007), a remake of the 1986 film. If you’re a fan of the actress, it’s well worth diving into this story.
I find it hard to believe that I let myself be taken in and carried away by this TV film when I usually do everything I can to avoid them. But I really liked this one.
When a stranger comes into your life with news that will turn everything upside down, how do you react?
I’m not going to recommend this film to those who hate TV films and aren’t open-minded enough. Those who watch a lot of dramatic thrillers won’t be surprised and won’t find it all that original. For my part, I know how to be a good audience at times, but not always. Sometimes I complain that I’ve wasted my time, that it feels like déjà vu. But in the end, I get over it and fall back on works that don’t make you think too hard.
Good entertainment, good suspense, and an intriguing story make for a good moment of relaxation. Sometimes that’s all you need!
