Bikini Bandits (2002)

Bikini Bandits is an American film directed in 2002 by Steve Grasse and produced by Shymala Joshi, released directly on DVD.

It’s more like Bikini Maudit!
No, really!

The film mixes several episodes of the adventures of Bikini Bandits, when just one would have been far enough for me. Okay, it’s nice to see Corey Feldman for big Goonies fans, as well as Jello Biafra and Dee Dee Ramone for die-hard punk culture and music fans. But then you’d have to live only for them if you watch this film just for them, because they each make a brief appearance just to try to spice things up a bit. And five minutes would have been enough to make something really funny. But not an hour-long thing.

And anyway… can we even call this a film? More like a documentary? Or a big pile of crap that would take a ton of toilet paper to clean up?

I wonder if I’m going to attract the wrath of all the people who are hypocritically anti-Hollywood? As well as people who like things that are very, even too different, people who think that anything can be art or that this thing is a masterpiece…
Anyway!
I’m not going to dwell on a film that makes you feel & think like a moron anyway.

I appreciate art, but I have my preferences. I like punk, and for me, this film is not punk. Or rather, it has everything that I reject.

Yet I tried to watch it twice and understand it, and I just feel like I wasted my time twice over. Whether you watch MTV now, or have been watching it for years, or watch this film, it’s the same thing: lots of adverts, repetitions, bogus interviews and absolutely nothing constructive.

And to think that there are two of them (yes, they dared!), that it’s out of stock at my online DVD store… and that I bought one!

It’s crazy!!!
There really are huge differences, gaps between people.

It should be noted that the film is edited in the style of music videos, interspersed with fake adverts and short dialogues between the authors, who are represented in animation. It also skilfully circumvents censorship, as sexual symbols abound, sex toys are visible and there are scenes of lesbian kissing. However, there are no scenes of nudity. That doesn’t save it, though!

Rating: 0.5 out of 5.
