I think it’s official: I’ll never recapture the pleasure I got from the first Alien, the first Predator, the first Gremlins, the first…
Anyway!

The monster itself isn’t bad at all… but… we’ll have to wait two years for a slightly better film: The Monster (2016).
And we’ll have to wait another three years (five years since this film) for the film Sweetheart, which is twice as good!

Three rather interesting creatures from the 2010s. We’re really starting to run out of them!!!

They’re pretty scary creatures… and not a total failure because of the CJI aspect becoming too grandiose. Yes, yes, I’m thinking of the new King Kong, Godzilla, the monsters in Rampage, Pacific Rim, Gods of Egypt…
These are disastrous… because they’re far too big, fat, slow and spectacular! And that ruins everything!

Otherwise… I’m a huge fan of Elizabeth Gillies… and it’s because of her that I watched this film… while wondering: What is she doing here???
She is very often the most interesting thing about the films and series in which she appears.

Poorly acted at times, a short film that seems long, full of inconsistencies…
Films to watch for fans of the genre. Watch them in the order I’ve given you, if possible.

The ending is nice… although not very original.
The title is rubbish!
The environmental message… doesn’t come across, once again!
We understand that we shouldn’t harm forests. But we forget this message during the film. So it was just to make us feel good about ourselves… and therefore: message failed!
