Columbus Circle (2010)

Wrong!
I’ve read summaries of this film that are wrong!
But apart from that, it’s a good film!

Here’s the real story: An heiress locked in her building for nearly two decades is forced to face her fears after the murder of one of her neighbours. A police officer begins the investigation.

Yes, I really enjoyed it.
Quite original. At the end, the heroine does what the villains usually do in films (change her identity).

A flawless duo of leading actresses.
Selma Blair opposite Amy Smart is a real treat.

The opening credits are superb.
Then the film gets off to a good start.
After that, a few slow moments scared me.
But it picks up again and the ending is great.
A very good moment of suspense.
Thank you!

Afterwards, there will always be those who say they were bored throughout the film, that everything was predictable, that for a thriller there was no suspense, and blah blah blah!
How tiresome they are, really!!!

Now that I’ve parodied them, I’ll even have to elaborate!

On the contrary, the suspense is continuous from beginning to end in this feature film made with very little, since this closed-door drama takes place in a New York flat. Apparently, it’s not the first, but that remains to be verified.

In any case, this director, George Gallo, is quite good. The Poison Rose (2019) is very decent.

A very good thriller that keeps us absorbed for an hour and a half in a mysterious atmosphere.

The subject matter is classic overall.

The story has twists and surprises as well as revelations that I would never have thought of throughout the film, which remains clear and coherent.

The script is well crafted and logical.

The ending is unpredictable and remarkable, in my opinion.

The dialogue is well paced.

Selma Blair, in particular, confirms her status as a great actress, along with the other members of the cast, who give excellent performances.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
