Really good!!!!!!

What did I think about during this film?
It obviously reminded me of Equilibrium (2002). Then I thought of The Village (2004).
And I ended up with Sucker Punch (2011). Three quite important movies for me.

A film that raises lots of questions. How far will they go? To manipulate us, especially for money.

You can watch this film without thinking and say to yourself that it’s just a long science fiction film with no interest, no importance, with just girls as actresses…

Or you can realise that it’s a perfect metaphor for our real lives.
We are manipulated, we follow rules without knowing why.
Or rather… we say we follow the rules to be sure of getting a reward.
But who really believes that?
Far more people than you might imagine…

People are sheep. Or robots.
As soon as someone breaks the rules, we report them, because we believe we are doing the right thing. We even believe that we will get a promotion if we do so, that we will be well regarded. But who really wants to please the authorities? Conditioned people, obviously.

This movie is very insightful!
And let’s not forget the spot-on performance again by Katie Douglas (Level 16, Thicker Than Water, Lazareth, Clown in a Cornfield).
Another little girl who has everything it takes to be a Big Star. Or almost…
