Dashcam (2021) was pathetic!!! Up until halfway through the movie, I knew I was only going to give it one star… and I was almost feeling guilty about it. After all, “the movie was made with a lot of effort,” I told myself! And it’s a shame to give just one measly star to a movie that took so much time to make. But from that point on, the movie just kept getting worse and worse. To the point that…

I don’t know how to explain it any more clearly: it easily deserved ten negative stars!

When I saw a piece of trash like Freeway 2 (even though the first one was excellent!), I thought it would be hard to do worse. And yet… This movie proves it’s easily possible. I think we’ll keep going like this… and thankfully, I won’t be on this planet anymore when movies deserve between a hundred and a thousand negative stars!

Okay… I could trash this movie for hours… but watching it is already a waste of time. Spending all that time bashing it would only be giving this trash the credit it deserves.
But hey… since I’m on a roll and I’m fired up!

A film that tries to revitalize the found footage genre, but only manages to drag it down even further. It was already a genre that had become unbearable. This film suddenly makes the others seem watchable!

A movie that tries to convey some interesting messages… but ends up losing its way and throwing everything down the toilet. The only thing you’ll remember is the extreme excess of vulgarity, which is truly sickening.

If you don’t like the world today or its technology, this movie isn’t going to make you like it.

If you already hate rap, this movie isn’t going to make you appreciate it.

If you liked this director’s other movie (which, surprisingly, is my case!), this is probably the movie that will make you give up on him for good and not even want to watch the opening credits of his next film.

PS : I didn’t keep my promise! I watched The Boogeyman (2023), but that’s because I couldn’t resist the lure of Stephen King and Sophie Thatcher!!!
And it’s not too bad…
