The first half hour of Shattered, but that’s it!
On a more serious note: every twenty minutes spent in this film spoils the film.
Another film that joins the category “had everything to succeed, but preferred to miss everything!”
Of course, this new actress, Lilly Krug, is really great!
I saw her in her first and previous film Heart of Champions, but I’m not sure she has as big a role as here.
As for Cameron Monaghan, I think he’s best known for the series Shameless.
I just looked at his filmography and it really doesn’t appeal to me.
Also, I don’t think he plays very well in this film.
Luis Prieto also directed Kidnap, which was not as good as The Call (both starring Halle Berry) and was already a film that ran out of steam halfway through.
John Malkovich is a pleasure to watch in this role… although I was excited to think he would appear more than that… but no!!!
A sultry thriller reminiscent of the famous Basic Instinct, the less famous The Voyeurs, and torture reminiscent of Misery and Knock Knock.
In short!
Lots of references, good direction, but a lot of inconsistencies, stupid reactions at times, ridiculous things and others that we don’t believe…
I have to say that it’s a movie that was worth seeing once for all the fans of everything I just listed.
But for the others, skip it… and I almost envy you!!!
