Hancock (2008) is one of those films I saw when it came out in the cinema. I didn’t really like it, but I often give it a second chance. I saw it again earlier this week, and I still don’t like it too much.
It’s fine to see once, but there’s no point in me having it in my collection. What’s more, there’s neither Will Smith‘s best performance, although he does try, nor Charlize Theron’s, who is relatively pathetic here. It’s Jason Bateman who plays the character that’s the most fun to watch.
He plays an eternal optimist and altruist.
There’s an entertaining side and a vision of the clumsy, boorish superhero that is nonetheless interesting.
