Perfect Stranger (2007 ) is an American thriller by Director James Foley. Starring Halle Berry as Rowena Price, a journalist who uses her investigative skills to solve the murder of a friend. Also starring Bruce Willis.
I could just shout, “Wow, what a thrilling & exciting film!”
I also saw a review by a person that said, “Nothing New in the West:
1. Halle Berry is superb!
2. Halle Berry is also superb in this film!
3. Bruce Willis is bald!
4. Bruce Willis is also bald in this film!!!
5. Halle Berry is gorgeous….”
I have to admit that this review is as interesting as this film! In fact, it’s captivating, entertaining and has an unexpected ending! The plot twists are interesting. But in the end, it’s as if the last ten minutes are what’s going to keep the film from sinking completely. Because despite the positive points, this film is no good! After an hour, I realized that I was being taken for a ride and that this little film, blind and uncommitted, was becoming increasingly uninteresting. The standard of Bruce’s films had begun to drop noticeably with this kind of film.
As for Halle, I’d say that after Catwoman, this is another top choice. The ending is so unbelievable that you can’t believe it. Bruce Willis hasn’t been this good since Striking Distance! And Giovanni Ribisi does even better than his great performance in The Other Sister. This film should have been showered with awards. Strawberries and raspberries in particular!
I would so love to have been able to say and write a good, concise review, like: “I went to see this film without too many expectations and was pleasantly surprised, including by the surprising ending. but in my opinion, it lacked a little something.”
Alas… this is definitely not the case!
