The Cellar (2022) I’ve already said once that Elisha Cuthbert was still someone who was really cut out to be an actress. It’s good to see her still in leading roles and not relegated to the background like Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook in Spirit Halloween (2022).

Let’s get straight to the point: this film is no good!
For horror fans, it won’t be horror. For fans of crime thrillers, it will be horror.

On the plus side: the film relies quite heavily on Cuthbert, who does well. The film has no gore scenes, jump scares or unnecessary sex.
But unfortunately, it doesn’t have any excruciating suspense or an ultra-interesting story either. It’s easy to watch, but you feel you’ve wasted your time by the end.

There are some ridiculous moments, you barely see the scary creature, the never-ending staircase story was great at the beginning, pathetic towards the end.

Spoiler:

And the ending, meanwhile, is tragic.
It doesn’t even need the last gasp to end badly.

Two stars just for the pleasure of seeing Elisha again, although it’s not her best performance by far. But the movie didn’t ask for it. But otherwise, not much to salvage.
