Ahhhh… this is so tedious! It goes on forever!!! And it’s just awkward…

Seriously, I can’t find a single thing about this movie that isn’t terrible. How can you ruin such an interesting plot this badly? I didn’t understand what this movie was even trying to do. I even tried really hard to appreciate its humor… but to no avail, because it’s pretty bad, too!

Be careful what you wish for! But also be careful what you watch!!!

The directing? Let’s not even go there! And if only the actors had raised the bar… but they didn’t even do that.

I saw this comment: “We’ll never see this woman in a movie again! No talent.”

If I had to keep it very short, I’d simply say, in a few words: The script could fit on a subway ticket, the dialogue is meaningless, the music is deafening, the pacing is extremely sluggish… in short! This movie is really, really bad—if not worse. Avoid at all costs!!!

Someone wrote an even shorter review: “Obsession, a totally terrible movie—I walked out of the theater; I didn’t wait for the end—I didn’t like it at all.” Now that’s quick! And the movie doesn’t deserve any more attention than that.

Honestly, it’s very hard to enjoy. Filming female hysteria for almost two hours and almost making you want to empathize with the main character is pretty despicable! Unbelievable that they’re still making this kind of movie in 2026!

I didn’t believe for a second that this guy—who struggles to have relationships with girls and is portrayed as a real nice guy at the beginning of the movie—would have no qualms about continuing what he started: casting a spell that doesn’t work at all. It takes him quite a while to react. In fact, when he has doubts and panics, his reaction doesn’t match the gravity of the situation. I completely missed the point!

Come to think of it, the scariest part isn’t the woman—it’s actually this guy! Yes, right from the start, it’s the guy who’s scary!

Unlikable characters, no charisma. I don’t get the hype. Yet another movie whose popularity completely eludes me! It’s just a really bad remake of the “Eternal Love” episode of Tales from the Crypt. What worked really well in thirty minutes becomes an atrocity over two hours. It drags on for nothing and is far more annoying than terrifying. The few moments that make you jump come from forced jump scares where the girl suddenly goes hysterical. It’s surprising the first time, but becomes unbearable afterward.

Then there’s that damn ideological slant. Whereas the TV episode explored an amusing idea full of irony and dark humor, here we have yet another movie from this (rotten) era of ours, conceived solely to portray humanity as the ultimate toxic element that can only redeem itself by eliminating itself. It drags on, goes in circles, and elements are thrown in without ever being revisited—like the product’s supplier, for example. There’s nothing to salvage!

It wasn’t until the end credits that I understood the reason for such a disaster: It’s a Blumhouse production—the specialist in low-budget films where nothing happens 95% of the time, but which turn a profit as soon as three people buy tickets. I call that a scam, and I certainly won’t be obsessed with these productions!

It’s classified as horror, but only because you have to endure so much lethargy and passivity. The first hour is pure torture. And the rest isn’t much better! A real ordeal.

To think I was expecting a great horror movie, but I found it pathetic and boring. And while it might have made me smile more than jump, it just annoyed and frustrated me.
